Follow up, got a Top 100 award, kinda happy about that. The bad news, it started to drizzle on the way home, the wipers made 3 passes before slowing and then freezing in place.
Those wiper arms are a SOB TO GET OFF! Cowl off, motor out. WCCC on the computer.
Now i can clean under there while waiting for parts.
Oh yeah, somebody had a lot of spare time…painted the bolts…
Wiper arm removal is easy with the proper tool.
Im sure the tool would have made it easier. The worst part was the drivers side post wasnt masked off in the re-spray back in 1999. So there was a paint layer in there to deal with.
A little bit of tape…
The tool makes them easier to install as well. Removes the need that some people have to use brute force.
I got curious on how the tool worked.
