Did I blame the wrong problem?

I’ve been cussing the parts that failed when I had a bad flat tappet lifter during a rebuild, but in the post-mortem, I am wondering if I missed something else.

I had the heads cleaned and reassembled at a local shop, and what if they pulled the positive stop rocker stud out a bit while reconditioning? I went back to one of my assembly photos and I think the #6 Intake, third in the image is up.

I may have had perfect lifters, cam, and process, but missed measuring across the studs after they came back from the shop and the stud was already pulled up. #learn as we go.
