I did a quick search but did not have any luck. Does anyone know the differences between the 67 base and 67 XR7 doors? I got a new door for the GT, but I think it is from an XR7. The spacing for the arm rest in about 2 inches wider on the new door. Everything else seems to fit. Is suppose I can move the mounting tabs to match the base, but just wondering if there is anything else. Thanks for the help.
Are you referring to the door or the door panel? The doors are the same, but the armrests and door panels are different.
No difference. Just move the nutclips to the inner square holes, should be about 6-1/8" spacing. The outer holes for use on XR7 are about 7-7/8" apart. I’ll go check a 68 door to see how it differs.
On my 68 doors, there’s an extra set of square holes above the other four, measures at 8-1/2", which matches my 68 Std Arm Rests.
There are differences between XR7 and Standard door panels in 1967 not the doors. As Bill stated the difference is in the longer armrest and separate door pulls on the XR7 and the Standard having the shorter in length and combined door pull. Here are some pictures Fromm WCCC’s site.

Actually early '67 doors do not have the cutouts for the door clips for XR-7 arm rests or outside remote mirror holes. The XR-7 doors from January '67 onward have both sets of holes. So in fact there is a difference in doors for 1967.
Good to know, Royce. I’d never heard that before.
Thanks for that tidbit of info Royce. I just knew one of the experts would come up with something like that. Geez, the more I learn the less I know, LOL!
Thanks all for your replies. There was stickum from the vapor barrier in the other holes for the nut clips so I did not see them. All good now. Love the knowledge here.
Royce, can you explain the difference if any from the standard door panels from 67 to 68 and also the difference between 67 and 68 XR7?
