Noticed someone pulled this back up, so I’ll say thanks again to all here who helped out during the summer. this whole issue (and more: overheating, boil-over, timing etc.) has been 100% resolved months ago.
As far as the vacuum advance canister itself goes, upon Bill’s advice in August… I replaced the original monster-sized dual unit with a much smaller, single vacuum line style, which also then allowed for wide range timing adjustment, and then dialed everything in. done👍
