drivers side rear hyd brake line?

I’m working on my 68, and at some point in time, the steel line, got wrapped under the shock at the left rear. I have a replacement line in a bag, as well as the new rubber hose. However, I’m not sure exactly where the pieces are supposed to mount at the axle. Does anyone have a quick picture? For some reason I’m thinking the exhaust on that side might me right where I need my hose to go…
Thanks,

Here you go.

Nice!

Perfect, thanks Royce!

That is such a great image. Helpful in many other detail areas as well.

I should have looked at the pix in more detail. It would have saved me some time yesterday. I replaced my slave cylinders, and believed the Parts Store that there is a Left & a Right side Slave cylinder. They may exist, but only one type is used on MY '69 Cougar. The Drivers Side P/N.

See Below & Above

The parts books and online catalogs are all screwed up when it comes to brake system parts. There will be two of the same part number wheel cylinder on 99 % of Mustang / Cougar / Cyclone / Torino rear axles.

The left / right wheel cylinders were ONLY used if the car has 31 spline axle AND staggered shocks. Such a vehicle would also use different brake lines and a different flex line and have the flex line mounted in a different location.
