eBay seller - anyone have any transactions with this gentleman ?

I’m hoping some other members might have some ( positive I hope ! ) transactions with this seller on eBay. Goes by “cougar679” ( with 241 sales ). He is based in Vancouver, Washington. He has some NOS ( without boxes ) 1969 Cougar XR-7 wheel covers for sale. I have been corresponding with him, while the auction is active and would like to know if anyone has bought from him ? Is he a member here ? It would be nice to get some re-assurances about this potential eBay sale. Thanks guys.

hat would be Good old Jim “Red” Henry. He can be a bit cantankerous, but he is honest. He often has a Real Group II Cougar small block intake for sale. He is not a member here as far as I know. He is not the most Computer loving person around. Just tell him that long haired Neal said Hi, and that I hope to see him at the Monroe Swap meet again when we can.

He used to crack up me up back in the Yahoo list days.

Known him sine the 80’s. He has a VERY large hoard. I send him folks all the time. If you are not the type who enjoys a good insult exchange don’t do business with him. Some guys I send end up being lifelong friends and others are mad at me for even suggesting they do business with him.

This is his twin brother.

I met him at Monroe a few years ago. Told me he had a NOS hood chrome trim for a 69 for 125.00. I gave him a few months rest between calls and after a few tries he ended up coming across with the trim sent in a PVC pipe. Absolutely bomb proof and in perfect shape. I’d trust his integrity. Great guy to BS with but we are on totally opposite sides of the political scale. LOL.

I finally received the two NOS 1969 XR-7 wheel covers that I purchased from Jim “Red” Henry on eBay. It takes me awhile to batch together enough Stateside NOS parts / purchases ( for myself and the members of our local Mustang / Cougar car club ) to make the shipping from Portland to my Canadian address ‘economical’ ( if such a word can ever be applied to shipping costs ! ).
The wheel covers are perfect in every detail ( and without a doubt NOS / never installed ).
Jim’s packing was the best I’d ever seen - bubble wrap, surrounded by high density foam, and packed inside a box inside another box and then inside a third box !
He may not be computer savvy, and may be a bit ‘crusty’ but he is honest and a perfect guy to purchase from. And yes “long haired” Neal I said Hi for you and mentioned your hope to see him at a future Monroe Swap meet.
