I agree, but to each his own. To have an option to do something does not mean you’ll have to do it tho , great product non the less. look forward to get mine fitted.
Not only do they work in unison, one side will Never be slower or hesitate like original vacuum .They can always be adjusted to open at the same, as fast or as slow as you want them. There are different options, just ask.
That is definitely my favorite part about having separate speed adjusters for each headlight-- being able to dial it in so they both operate at the same speed. That and being able to adjust the doors so they each sit at the perfect level when closed. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out
I just installed the complete kit including the headlight relays for a full tech article in Legendary Cougar Magazine and I absolutely loved the product. Catheadlights nailed the details. This is small stuff but the washers that go under the motors have to be clipped off to sit flat next to the old mounting bracket for the vacuum motor, and that is exactly how they are supplied with the kit. I tossed the old adjusters as they really don’t do anything but get in the way. This is a great product. I have plans for a possible 427 Windsor build and this eliminates any concerns about cam shaft choice.
Maybe a bit off topic so please forgive, but power brakes on that car Bill? If yes, say hello to vacuum concerns! I’m running an auxillary vacuum reservoir with good results so far. BTW, 230 duration seems to be the threshold where vacuum issues begin to appear. I’m at 234/238.
Absolutely Bill!!! Big cam!!! I have no worries with a tri-power and power brakes and I have a huge cam that makes it a slouch, but shakes and rattles the car at idle…awesome. And of course, electric headlights
Bob, that is a good piece of advice on the duration. I will keep that in mind. How did adding the extra tank do for you, and what is you manifold vacuum at idle, 13", less?
