Sounds cool, got any pictures / video showing the kit and how it works?

I’d be interested in hearing and seeing more about it too. I like the idea of getting it all in a kit and not have to piece it together myself.

I’d also like to see photos and/or videos.

Here’s a few pics of the kits. They are complete, buy nothing else, take less than one day to install. One pic is of my personal car, the brackets are welded in for a cleaner look and the tab underneath has been taken off, looks factry now like there was never vacuum openers. FREE shipping anywhere in the US. I do ship overseas, ask for shipping costs. I use only paypal

Wow! great kit. Considering what a new set of vacuum motors cost, this just can’t be beat.

You have kit in the works for a 1969-70?

I would need a car to build one from.

A question - does converting change how you adjust the headlight doors. Do you still use the rubber bumpers to get the doors to line up when they are closed, or do you adjust them using the electric motors themselves?

You use the motor /cover arms to do most alignment, you may need to adjust bumpers slightly, but they are really not needed anymore. The covers will not sag.

I’d love to see more of this kit. Seems the images or links to them are missing.

Just got my kit in the mail today. Construction looks really excellent to me, everything looks really well made with lots of attention to detail, very clean and slick. I read through the instructions and it seems like a very straightforward install process, one that I am very eager to dive into, hopefully in the next couple/few days.

I can’t speak highly enough about how great communication has been as well. I even came to him with a crazy idea which he came up with a solution for in short order, which was a really great surprise. Very much looking forward to completing the install and posting a video so everyone can see them in action.

I plan to fully document the installation process but out of respect for the time and effort that he’s put into developing these kits for us, I likely will not post too many detailed pics on the net at this time, as I firmly believe he deserves a chance to be compensated for his work without people being able to reverse engineer it just by looking at my photos.

Could not be more excited about getting my cat’s eyelids back in action, and better than ever!

I got my adjustable speed kit installed and running this weekend, and absolutely love it. I got an add-on with mine too, a “wink kit”, that gives in-cabin control of one headlight door via an under dash toggle switch, to make the car wink at hotties. You can see both the normal operation (nice and slow) and the wink operation too in this video I shot, which I’ll upload to YouTube as soon as I figure that one out.

Caught the video…alignment for the covers looks perfect to compliment your nice grill work. Bet there is some comfort in eliminating probable future vacuum leaks from the actuator plumbing. Hopefully blue68cat will find an opportunity to fab a kit for '69-70. Need to chase that hissing snake out from under my dash!

Yeah I am very happy to have those vacuum motors out of there, no question. The driver’s side one was fine, but the passenger side one had no problems opening but didn’t like to close. I just kept them disconnected all this time, since the idea of having engine performance suffer so I could have automatic headlight doors was always a non-starter for me. Now it’s not even anything to think about. Only thing attached to my manifold vacuum is the stuff that needs to be, engine, trans, brakes. Very happy camper right here!

Kit arrived today, looks very solid. I’ll be fitting it this weekend. Thanks bud :beerchug:
