Post some pics champ, Im sure plenty of people would like to see it. Mine was a basket case so its taken a while.
There’s a lot to be said about not pulling them completely apart! Especially if they are running / driving well.
From what I can tell just an external respray would have your Cougar looking a Million dollars
Yeah, but I’ll still know all the dirty little secrets. I’d like to repair them all rather than just cover them up.

Hi Brett
If that was aimed at me, I have plenty of pics on my own, not much happening (yet), thread. I will leave your’s clean.![]()

Can anyone advise which Tacho / lights are correct for an Eliminator?
My original Tacho (left) is toast and only has a “Park” and blank Green light.
I found a replacement 6k Tacho which has the "Belts and “Lights” ? Not sure which is correct
Thanks
Mine has the one on the right, but mine also has a manuel transmission.
The difference is 1969 vs 1970. The one with the green lens is a 1969 tach. The one with the 2 red lenses is a 1970.

Awesome! Almost there ![]()
Just a few of where we are with the resto. I will be putting the air con back in but to keep things simple I deleted all of the power steer stuff from the car.
Ive never owned a muscle car with it fitted so I wont miss it (I guess).
I have some engine bay work to go with radiator, fan, shroud etc and probably a trans cooler.
Undecided on original white interior or all black? Ive gone for that in the engine bay with a black block as well.
Still looking for a few parts so will post more pics as it progresses
Cheers
If anyone on here is into Dirt bikes, this is my other (small) project a 78 RM 400.
Im waiting on new spokes and then its pretty much done.
I love all the cars and bikes from 70’s - early 80’s best years I reckon
Looking wicked… having just had em done, those brake lines are a wee bit tidier than mine!
Yeah I have a 1978 Yamaha DT175 two stroke… but that is firmly on the backburner… I can barely get through one project at a time.
Thanks man, i know a lot of older guys on FB who are into vintage Motocross.
Thought there might be a few on here?
Ive got an ex Ford mechanic who knows 70’s muscle cars inside out, he ran the lines for me.
