Eliminator Downunder

Woo! I see green paint! Won’t be long now!

Just wondering what people are using to post pics now? Id like to share some and update this thread.

it’s pretty easy now. You can upload photo’s into the gallery and them put the link of the photo in the thread post.
Here is the photo posting thread topic: https://cccforum.discoursehosting.net/t/new-photo-gallery-plus-an-easier-way-to-add-images/7979/1

Pics are working

just click on the CCCGallery button in full editor and insert copied link between the tags

Thanks Leon

Easier than that, click on the Full editor and preview button, then at the bottom of the text box click on the tab that says “attachments”. That will reveal a button that says “Add files”. Super easy to add photos.

Nice motor Royce… kind of wish mine was a SCJ :sunglasses:

The benefit of using the sites gallery to store pictures means that they will remain available and viewable as long as the site you posted your thread to remains up. If you use an outside location to store they can get lost - broken links when you end that agreement or that business gets sold or closes. Lots and lots of threads on lots of sites have examples of old threads with half or more off site stored pictures gone for good

When Photobucket decided to stop free hosting and demanded something like $400 from users for hosting their photos, we invested going to our own private server. It gave us the space to store those images for our members. Jay S. deserves all the credit as he also came up with an automated way to grab every image that was still accessible from Photobucket and to back them up here. This minimized the number of ruined threads, but there are still few that we could not save. Some people did pay the extortion to PB and for that we are thankful, but it sure hurts to see them get away with it.

Just been doing a few things like painting all of the underbody and rebuilt the diff and rear suspension.
It will now spin both tyres at once too

Thanks Bill, I didn’t mean to sound ungrateful for all the work that goes into keeping a site like this going.
With little knowledge of all things left hand drive its a valuable resource for me in this resto.

No worries! I was just trying to explain why we had the Gallery and what we were trying to accomplish. My fondest hope is that some day forum software will be as easy to use as Facebook. That is probably never going to happen as FB has many billions of dollars and we have about fifty cents.

Got the California Emissions tank cleaned up and painted

Nice. My favorite Eliminator color.

Does anyone have a pic of what this broken area should look like?
I have ordered the rubber grommet from WCC which should give me the shape I hope.
Im doing all the fun stuff atm rebuilding the heater box :unamused:
