Eliminator wing location?

Ive looked & search is no help… Anybody have the measurements for the holes to mount

the wing on the decklid?

Thanks!

For a 1970? the cut outs are under all of deck lids for the reinforcing brackets. 1969 wings have a different spacing than 1970.

Sorry, yes its a 70. Orig trunk lid was so rusted. I need to know the measurements from the side edge & the front of the lid to the the first hole.

Thanks, Bill

Hello Bill, I do not have a loose 70 Elim deck lid. But do have a 69 for visual reference.
My thought would be that the 70 rear spoiler holes would be located 1-1/2" outward (each side) of the 69 rear spoiler hole locations. I made a detailed layout on the outer skin of the deck lid.

Here’s a google drive link to the photo set: 1969 Eliminator Deck Lid Rear Spoiler Hole Layout

Thanks!

No worries, Bill. You are welcome.

I can measure mine when I get back to work on Monday. I have a 1970 Eliminator (not a clone).

Thanks !

Buy the reinforcement brackets. And put them in place. Then drill up through the bolt holes.

Hi PolarBear: You mention reinforcement brackets in your post. Could you specify what you mean, and where you got them ? Are these the 1970 mounting plates:

( images from WCCC and Dead Nuts On ).
If these are the brackets you are referring to, then they only work with the 1970 trunk lid ( with the cut outs on the underside ).

Bottom pic is for a Mustang I believe. Totally different bracket

The top ones. They fit perfectly in my 70. You can get a set at wccc or npd. My cougar is at the shop getting wet sanded or i would take a photo for you.
