Eliminators on the Market (October 2021)

Fall season is upon us. Car shows are in short supply here now, and the rainy season has let us know that the nice days shall be few and far between in the near future. Time to think about those winter projects!

Scammers are using pictures from legitimate listings (old and current) and passing them off as their car that is for sale, at prices well below market value. Always verify the car is real and the VIN is legitimate by checking with the CCOA or Eliminator Registry.
Also be sure to order your own Marti Report. Scammers have been doctoring Marti’s and changing VINs. Marti will not charge you for an invalid VIN.
Never send a deposit without confirming there is actually a real Eliminator associated with the listing.
And as always, remember that if it is too good to be true then it is probably a scam.

Auction results and Eliminators that sold last month (price shown is listed price, or hammer price for auction cars)…

And to boot they added a electric fan to the outside along with the clutch fan on the inside. I think its a lil overkill but…

Yellow 69 coming to auction in December:

Good looking car. I wonder why it has a convertible top switch under the dash? Maybe a replacement for a rear defog switch?

Is that not for the sunroof? I wonder whoever wrote up this bio does not know exactly what kind of Eliminator they have here even though they have a Marti report…

Yes, that is exactly what it is for. Sunroof cars in 1969 used the same switch in the same location as was used for convertibles. You could have both a sunroof and a rear defogger and the switches would be side by side.

I think that is the case. Sun roof is mentioned in the text in the options list, but no mention of the rarity or the Hertz connection.
Might be a good opportunity for a savvy buyer.

D’oh. I didn’t see the sunroof. That would make sense.
