Ever seen this done to a Cougar?

Just saw this on Craigslist. I never would have imagined this modification on a Cougar.

My Mama told me “If I don’t have anything nice to say…”

My thoughts exactly.

When guys say “it’s my car and I am never going to sell it” things like this happen. Still, it looks easily reversible so there is that. And like all modifications, all you have to do is find the one buyer that has the same vision.

Home made conti kit. All things considered, it Doesn’t look too bad…
I had one on my 60 bird for a while, It was a nice place to sit…Probably comes off with a few bolts and put the bumper back no problem.

That’s a lot of weight hanging off the rear bumper mounting area.

I don’t care for that on the cars it came on. One that it didn’t, no thank you.

I think he has a better chance of getting the asking price if that cluge was removed. It just takes so much away from the lines of the car.

Never on a Cougar.

Surprised that he only has one power antenna mounted on the rear quarter panel. I would also expect to see curb feelers on both wheels and fancy exhaust tips or fish tails… and dice or baby shoes hanging from the rear view mirror… maybe a fox tail on the antenna?

The area is some of the best “wine country” of Washington State. And his travel trailer is ass kicking. I’d love to see how he decorated it.

I think the coup de grâce would be orange flames down the side of the car.

There was at least one company that would do this conversion to new and older cars. I have a framed poster somewhere with various examples and the company name and address. I will try to see if I still have it around somewhere.
