There are no normal connections between those circuits. You probably have to get the schematic and start working to return the under dash to original configuration. The flasher components in the trunk have no connection to the problem. No devices under the dash are removed when the solid state flasher is installed.
You are going to be much better at electronics when you are done. You can’t generally diagnose electrical problems by looking at it. You need to get a multimeter and a test light.

I just purchased the 69 led sequential lights ,board,and relays from WCCC. A very easy upgrade and everything works. Next up is the headlights. Thanks Don for your time and years of help and knowledge.
At the top of this thread is a link to Coach Jack’s PDF on the troubleshooting of this system. That link is broken. I know it resides elsewhere because I have opened it. However I cannot find it now. Does anyone know where it is and can the original poster edit an old post from 2012ish to change the link? TIA
