putting my ac back together and it’s been so long I cannot remember if only the sensing bulb is wrapped in insulating tape or if the entire expansion valve needs to be wrapped…
Can anyone who has AC let me know how theirs is done?

Originally the entire valve and the clamp that secures the bulb to the pipe were all wrapped together in one big glob of the asphalt tape.
