I had a good time today. Great show lots of fine cars and good people. there were 2100+ cars including 1100 Mustangs and some 150+ Broncos. Here are some shots I took today.
Good looking Cougars, and what’s the story onthe twin-turbo Cat??? The Mercury Woody is gorgeous; and I would love to find a write-up on that Gilmore Oil car hauler and panel. I haven’t quite wiped ALL of the drool out of my goatee over the red Bronco; but the 4-door Bronc’ is wrong, just wrong - kinda like the current 4-door Jeep.
I only met a couple Cougar owners and the owner of the twin turbo was not one. It looked like a decent quality swap. Tons of work needed to do that. I saw Mod V8 swaps in to many older Fords. Here is a well done 70 Torino.
I met a guy named Oliver who had his pewter 70 XR7 coupe there that was copletely restomoded. Excellent job and he provided some great info for my future builds. I shoulda taken a couple pitures. Very decent show but the older cars are slowly giving way to the newer mustangs.
Other than some good conversation, I found the show very disappointing. Most likely my last time. There were many empty spaces for an event that was said to be sold out. They might as well just call it the all mustang show as 3/4 of the vehicles seemed to be mustangs and most of them fox-bodies or newer.
Hay Don, Don’t forgert my son’s 1990 25th anaversery Mustang is now 23 years old. Not a new Car. When I first took a Cougar to a show it was only 21 years old. Though I think some rules like a car must be 10 years old to enter could help. As I was a first timer to this show I had fun and most all the cars I saw were new to me. I saw some impressive work with the late model power train swaps. I plan to go back some time.
Limiting the year of car at that show isn’t going to happen. It is put on by the SoCal Ford Council, and it is almost solely sponsored by Ford. Ford has new vehicles on display and they have the SVT or Motorsport truck on site too.

While I like the idea I know what your saying there Scott. I was at the stage when this young guy came on and talked about the future plans at Ford Motor Co. His name is Henry Ford III.
