I have read on the board about using the MSD tach adaptor to be able to use the factory tach with aftermarket ignition. However, after calling MSD (Holley) they told me that the tach adaptor has to be used with a MSD ignition box such as the 6AL. He also told me just to wire up the factory tach as it is factory, to the +12volt side of the coil and it will work. In all the posts I have read on this board, they do not mention using the MSD box and only the tach adapter. Can someone please advise? Thank you.
If you are using an MSD 6AL you can use the white wire. The MSD tach adaptor works fine if you use the current triggered type.
