In the past you had to make due with 68-73 control arms. It took years of nagging to get them to do a run of 67’s, all it took was relocating the holes.

It is procuring the other related components that it gets tricky. The 2-section strut rod assembly was only available in 67’ as Mercury ditched it for a more conventional, single piece design the following year. FoMoCo may have had some issues with that design causing them to cease this feature. This may have too affected the parts market as updating to the 68’ and newer assembly became the popular way to go.
