My wife and I went to the mountains this past week / weekend. While in Tennessee we stopped at Floyd Garrett’s Muscle Car Museum. It was great. They had over 90 cars on display and some were pretty rare (1970 King Cobra 1of 3). One thing that we enjoyed was the fact they let you take pictures. Some museums have a turn cameras and cell phones off policy. We took a lot of pictures on our iPhones. I loaded them on photobucket so take a look and enjoy.
Has anyone else been to this museum? what were your thoughts?

I was there this past summer. The collection leans towards GM and Mopar, but that minor quibble aside, I really liked it. The cars are high quality and well presented.
Do they still have the side room that’s fixed-up like a 60’s vintage garage doing an engine-swap on a Corvette? That was unique and nicely done, in my opinion.
BTW, I see you’re in South Carolina; are there any good car or motorcycle places to visit in the Charleston area? I’m going to be there this weekend.
Jay they still have the shop set up but the Corvette is out and a tri-five Chevy restomod was in getting a late model engine swap. Just outside the shop area they had two Corvetts can’t remember late 50’s or early 60’s. One was a zero mile fuel injection Corvette that was factory shipped in pieces crated to a race team. The team never assembled or used the car, it is now assembled but never run, that was cool.
You are right about leaning towards Mopar and Chevy but they had a good bit of Ford and Mercury products. Heck even AMC had a showing with the Javlin and AMX. My pictures cover a little of everything but lean towards Mercury and Ford. I really wish Cougars were represented but no luck.
As far as Charleston, nothing that I can point you towards this weekend. The 25th there is a show, cars and bikes / swap meet in Ladson which is close to Charleston.

I see the pictures I posted in the first post are not showing. I will see about fixing that when I get home this evening.
Son-in-law has an AMX one year newer than the orange one, in red. Don’t know if it’s still in Fayetteville or has already been hauled back to “The Javelin Ranch” in SW Iowa (they’re in the process of moving).
Thanks Dawg. I think overall they turned out well. Our camera went dead so we were snapping pictures with our iPhone’s. I have always liked the Javelin and AMX even AMC’s The Machine was a cool muscle car. AMC just came to the party to late before the government and insurance crack downs. The AMX has such an aggressive hood, way cool! Do you have any pictures of you son in laws car?

I was looking for pics of it on both the daughter and son-in-law’s Facebook pages; nothing so far. There were quite a few pictures of it on the now-defunct webpage of the “Sandhills Mustang Club” of Fayetteville/Raeford, NC; but as I said, that page is “defunct” and gone.
I’ll keep looking though.
