Foam insulation in dash

I’m restoring my 68 XR-7 dash and see tons of old dried out foam insulation. I assume it is to prevent rattle. What are you guys using to replace it?

It is best to just get a new dash pad. West Coast Classic Cougar sells them

Sorry. my post wasn’t clear. I am cracking open the cluster panel of the dash. I’m referencing the insulation between the pieces.

I’ve been looking for something that looks original. No luck unless you want to buy huge quantities.

You can try McMaster-Carr. They sell adhesive foam strips in various widths, thickness and density. Here is one example:

Nice. This is a great resource. Wish I knew the difference between softness. Will definitely use.
