For those wanting to "clone"

Since the re-body thread got the clone talk going…I happened to stumble across this while searching “greyhound” on Craigslist…(looking for a bus project…hence the search)…perfect for the A-code looking to be like it’s big brother W code!

It’ll buff right out!

OH!!! I’ve just had a most excellent idea!!! A clever person could figure a way to move the casting numbers and date code to their 302, and call it a “reblocked 427”!!!

Ouch! That must have made a hell of a bang.

Seriously! I’m no engine guy, is that REALLY repairable??

A Bus project??

Yeah…like a Prevost/MCI/Setra type to convert into a motorhome! It’s an itch…

The man has a good boat anchor, what’s good about it, is when he is finished fishing he can just cut it loose and leave it there. :naughty:

It would make a very cool coffee table base. Leon is doing one.

Well, from the looks of it, it only windowed in that one spot, left the pan rail intact, is not in the water jackets, if the cylinders are okay you could (theoretically) seal it up with a metal plate, some screws and some sealant. Or, a block repair joint (like mmmeat used on the GTE engine) could fix the cast iron. But, the cheap way would be what I have suggested.

It’s no big deal.

DOOOODY!!!

Man that’s a big break. You’d really have to have faith in the person that would make a repair like that.
