Ford Flex?????

Hey Everyone,

I am thinking about getting a Ford Flex. I have read many good things and a few bad ones. Do any of you out there in the Cougar Community have one and if so can you let me know what things you like and dislike about it please?

Thanks,
Chris

My wife has a Ford Flex and her only complaint was with the sunroof. It had a leak, which was fixed under warranty so she didn’t have really anything bad to say about it overall. Other than having to take it back to the dealership she said everything has been good.

I would like to have a white one, with Country Squire wood side panels. The people I have met driving the Flex love it.

I won’t buy FWD !

If you lived near me you would.

My Bro has one… all wheel drive. Of course it has the ecoboost 6 with the turbo too, 22"wheels, two tone black with the silver roof, every single possible option, towing package (like he needs it or will ever use it) and everything else you can ever imagine. I guess he likes it. He would never admit it if he didn’t though. I’ve never even ridden in it. He’s always late to every single function because he has to wash it before he goes ANYWHERE in it.

Thanks for the info everyone. Will keep you in the loop. When I look on the Flex enthusiasts forums they rant and rave about them. There is a ton out there on bad brake issues, leaky sunroofs (you are not alone Steven) and a few things. Reliability is definitely super important as the car I have currently is an 01. I will have it for a while and do not want something I have to fix all the time.

Certainly want the Ecoboost if I can swing it but am on a budget as I have a baby on the way (#3). Needless to say my eyes are writing checks my body cant cash LOL. Love the look and we will see what the Mrs. thinks this weekend.

I rented one a few years ago and really liked it - even though I’m not a fan of the looks. That ecoboost drives like a dream with awesome torque, mileage was good, and it had tons of room to haul stuff. I thought it rode well and was nice and quiet - not boxy/tinny like I expected. If I needed a family truckster that got decent mileage it would rank pretty high IMO.

I would never live in New York either…LOL
