i am installing new torque boxes, they do not fit along the top edge of the front piece, i also installed new frame rails, should i cut off about an inch off the front edge of the frame rail or cut a pattern on the torque box to make it? Thanx!
I’d make the torque box fit the rail. I’ve installed a set that fit like garbage; bends were wrong, etc.
You didn’t mention year, my experience is adding passenger side on my ‘67.
For that, I bought a pre-assembled with inner/outer sections already welded together which I found impossible to fit the car. Ended up drilling out those welds, fitting the inner and then fitting the outer section and re-welding.
