Fuel filter help on Holley carb

If you have a 4bbl Holley similar to this. Can you post a pic of how your fuel filter is mounted?

I pulled the hose and the link in the bend had a crack halfway through. This car was close to burning to the ground.

I was talking with the POs wife last night. She’s thankful that it went to someone that can take care of it. They had given to their 17 year old son who was had no clue on how to respect the car. Plus they didn’t have the means to maintain and take care of it.

What you have in your photo is close to the way I always have done it. You should try to re - bend the metal fuel line so that there are no bends in the rubber fuel hoses. You can loosen the banjo bolt where it enters the carburetor and adjust the fuel inlet where it is more forward to allow more room for the filter. Use as little rubber hose as possible with no bends in the rubber.

Plus 1 for Royce’s recommendation. No bends in the rubber hose if possible.

What do you think of wider flatter filter instead of longer?

Thanks for all your info!
