I finally got some time to work on the mangy cat --69. It cranks but does not start. I have fuel to the fuel pump but no fuel to the carburetor. I ran it dry last december because the gas was getting old. I suspect the dry diaphragm in the pump gave out when dry over the winter. I’m not sure which fuel pump to order, 428 or 390. The block is a 428, the heads are 390 and the intake a 428 PI.

Fuel pump needs to match the block, because that is where it interfaces.

I’m getting ready to do a fuel pump in one of my FE Mustangs… There is a guy who makes good fake CJ pumps (“Jiffy”), but if you just want something that looks pretty correct and is cheaper and works good, buy the one from Summit. Here is my thread with the link for the pump:
