Fuel sender woes

Have the dreaded A/M fuel sender. I Plan on finding a good used one for restoration by Bill Basore but until then…

Mine is over a 1/4 tank off. Probably not unusual. Stay the course and find a used one and just deal with it? Or is there a “get by?” Looking for ideas, expecting none. Thought I’d try. TIA

Bill can calibrate and fix the reproductions too. It involves soldering on a jumper and then he spends time bending the arm and checking to see if it reads correctly.
