just found these Carburator with date code 834 for sale ob ebay.

I had expected to at least get some offers from someone here. The price I posted was only somewhere to start. I’d end the eBay sale if I sell it here.
I’m surprised you didn’t get any. If I didn’t buy one about a month ago I would have made an offer. Maybe I still will, but I’d rather it goes to someone who needs it.

Is this correct for Bart’s Red GTE? It is a 15 March 1968 build date. By the way, awesome pictures of it! Just what I would want to see.

It is numbers correct, but obviously not date correct.
I have heard people call the 834 carbs. service dated.
Never understood that one, since GTE’s were still being built at that time.
I was wondering myself if it was a service date, only because this is about the time the GTE started getting the 428’s and therefore they would get a different carb.
My GTE is a C14 build so this is too late for it.
Most GT-E’s were built before the end of February 1968. While there are a couple GT-E’s with 427 built in the fourth week of March 1968 or later, it is a very small number.
