I’ve seen the car. Mostly original paint and interior. He rebuilt the numbers matching drivetrain. I suggest anyone with an interest call him to discuss. He’s not much of an internet guy.
I would rather see a listing like this than a poorly done one. Back in the day the classified ads all were 2 lines and with no picture. Someone that actually takes the time to call and go look will probably net a pretty good deal on a very rare car.
That is a cool car! It looks as straightforward as the ad. Royce: did you check it for signs of rust?
Speaking of rust - It has my rust lust going - Oooh that great color on a GT-E!!! Somebody’s going
to be happy with this one.

+1
I think the ad in 1977 for my car in the “Antiques and Classics” section of the Left Angeles Times said, “'68 Cougar GT-E. $3K (213)XXX-XXXX”
I looked at the car 10 years ago at Carlisle. I don’t know anything except the interior and outside looked nice. Suggest that you talk to Mike to hear more.
GT-E’s are my favorite Cougars. Black Cherry is my favorite Cougar color. Numbers matching is my favorite state. Original paint is my second favorite. Timing is everything. I wish the timing was better on this one.
The owner sent me more pictures. If interested, you should reach out and request the pictures. A few rusty spots and the interior needs work. If you are in the market it would be tough to find a prettier color. I am trying to get up to see it but my schedule has been nuts.
