Guide to Rear Tie Down Brackets

Put together a new guide here to show the different rear tie down brackets used for Cougars and Mustangs. This gives an overview of all the different variations for comparison.

Interesting information. Thanks.

Great job of putting this together. So few of these got removed even though the possibility of interference appears to be great.

Another great article. Thanks! Does anyone have a set of '68s they’d like to sell? They’d sure be nice for trailering. My Mustang still has them, the Cougar doesn’t.

You’re better off not using these for trailering. Axle straps are your best bet. Brackets will cinch the whole body to the trailer. It’s much less stress on the car if the springs are allowed to flex while in transport.

Good point - thanks, 427.
