I purchased a Halogen Headlight Conversion Kit from WCCC and I can’t get the new headlights to fit squarely in the headlight bucket. Any suggestions?
What is causing them to fit improperly?
I don’t know. They don’t install properly. When I get one side in, the other side is outside the light bucket. I removed the front hideaway light from the front to paint them. When l was putting them back together l was trying to put the Halogen lights in the front buckets but they wouldn’t be flushed, only one sided.
You need to look at the fit of the lamp in the bucket and either cut or adjust the shape of the bucket so the lamp fits.
I’d suggest you look at an original headlight and take note of the location tabs, on the back. Then look at the location tabs on your new light.
Vastly different, right?
So as someone else said “modify the part, not the car”. I like that advice so that’s what I try to always do-modify the light to fit the bucket.
