A while back I had ordered a lower control arm for my 67 to do the passenger side. This item being WCCC part 13467 and Ford item C8OZ-3078-B of which is supplied by Scott Drake Automotive. Instead, the component received was C7OZ-3078-A due to a possible labeling error.
I may be confused but it looks to me like you got a correctly labeled '68-'73 lower control arm.
What you need is part C7WY-3078-B which to the best of my knowledge are not repo’d. WCCC sells cores or some very fancy restorations.
On the upper picture the control arm to the right is the original component out of the 1967 that is being reconditioned. The left is the control arm that had been shipped to me. There is a noticeable difference especially in the over all dimensions when comparing these two items next to each other. Further research through the homesite of Scott Drake Automotive Group has the control arm to which was received turned out not to be the C8OZ-3078-B as the label on the package declares but, either ‘C4DZ-3078-A’ 1964 to 1966 Mustang/Falcon component or C7OZ-3078-A listed for the 67 Mustang. The item/s which had been ordered are for the 68 Mustang and Cougar in order to update the strut rods from the 2 piece design in 1967 to the single part component the following year.
