Started the process of making my '68 grill straight. The passenger high-beam was missing its retaining spring. Very thankful to find it wedged at the bottom of the bucket. The mounting point on the bucket is split. I am going to pin or shim it but am looking for advice from others that may have fixed this before.
Thanks!
Thanks. Yup, something like that is what I envisioned. I’ll put that in my WCCC bucket for the future.
I have drawers full of hardware as I did a lot of car audio installations in my youth. Might get lucky.
Says discontinued. I needed some last year and made them out of sheet metal as WCCC didn’t have them in stock. Not as pretty but they did the job.
Even though they are discontinued we still have them. Add to cart means we have them, if it says “notify me” that means you get an email when they come back into stock. They actually are not hard to make… Mention it on your next order and we will split a package open and give you a free one. We discontinued them when our Canadian supplier decided to more than double the price on us. Seems like $12 for a set of four would be plenty…
Here’s my assortment of U-Shaped speed clips. Installed lots of speakers back in the day. lol Just looped one through the spring hook and secured the headlight. Installed the bump stop kit that aligns the headlight eyelids. Came across some plastic stock and used it as a wedge to help straighten out the front grill end pieces.
I just bent a washer in half and slid it over the broken part. Then I hooked the spring over the washer.
