Headlight Cover Removal

Folks,
I am trying to remove the passenger’s side Headlight Cover so I can put a new Cougar Emblem on it (old one is faded).
It looks like the only thing holding the Headlight Cover in place are 2 bolts & the 2 tension springs.
One other thing is the Vaccuum Actuator arm (that opens/closes the Headlight Cover) is connected by a little pin at the top-center of the Headlight Cover.
This little pin has some sort of funky clip on it.
Can someone tell me how to remove this clip so I can then get the Headlight Cover off?

Much appreciated,

WCCC made a video that covers headlight removal and reinstallation on a 67. It’s good. And it’s on youtube

The Cougar emblem is mounted on the headlight door in a “riveted” fashion. I did not remove my headlight door to replace my emblem. I just pried the old one off carefully. It came off pretty easy. After I had the old emblem removed I used 3M trim adhesive to attach the new emblem. The whole job replacing the emblem took maybe 30 minutes. After I had the new emblem in place I used blue painters tape to hold the emblem while the adhesive dried. I left the tape on for a day or two.
