Heat Riser Tube connection point

Hi All. 1969 Cougar that 351-2V Windsor has the “heat riser tube” or " Choke Tube" dangling off the back of the carb. No idea where on the motor it’s supposed to connect. Does anyone have a picture? Is the fitting snapped off? There is a small hole on the passenger side of the block that the pipe fits into, but I have no idea if that is where it should be or not.

Thanks.
