I have a '67 XR-7 that the previous owner striped the engine compartment and started new. The car had factory air. He cut the inlet and outlet tubes from the evaporator flush with the firewall. I am now installing air and have removed the under dash plenum box and replaced the heater core and the evaperator units. Have put the box back together and now I can’t get it back in the car. It is like the box in now longer that it was. Do I have to remove something else like the blower motor housing to get the plenum back in or am I overlooking something?.
If you shift the blower housing over it will help. Very tedious job I know, hang in there!
