Would anyone happen to have a photo that they could post showing the proper routing of the heater hoses on a 68 F code 302 2V manual trans car with thermactor pump? Also, were the 68 J code cars originally equipped with an 8 or 9 inch rear? Thanks
I am not sure of the hose routing, but it will have a 8 inch from the factory.
So does that mean the J code 68 shelby GT350 also had an 8 inch rear?
I would think so. 68 Cougars with the J code 302 4V did.
No they had 9 inch rearends just like some Mustangs.
Difference appears to be the package ordered. Mustangs with the J code and the GT package got the 9" all others got the 8" If course this meant other parts at the rear of the car were different also
Same routing as C and J code 68s without thermactor and AC since that years system has internal plumbing
Just keep both hoses inward/above the spark plug wire relocator, the thermactor pump, PCV and sort of in the valley of between the intake and valve cover as much as possible. Much easier for the hose that connects to the intake for that.
With AC routing is somewhat different since there are more hoses, the shutoff and such
