I am repairing the heater plenum in my 69 (with AC) and I cannot find the Outside Diameter of the drain tube and exact lenght. I believe someone mentioned a tube lenght of 5/8 to 3/4 but I need the actual lenght. I have rebuilt the drain with a brass nipple and fiberglass and want to find out how far to build it up and where to cut for correct lenght. Any input would be great.
I think your answer may be here. The 69 and 70 are the same in this respect

Ok, here you go. The diameter of the drain tube is 5/8"
The length of the tube from the heater/ac box is .75 to .85
The overall length of the hose is 5" If going original, the hose has a small restrictor in the end of it
Since the tube is located at the corner of the box it is hard to have an exact measurement.
The measurements I gave here are the high and lowest points.
Trixie and Tom, thank you for the info. Looks like I can wrap one more layer of mesh and be pretty close to the 5/8" diameter. I will be orderin a hose from WCCC.
