I’m trying to straighten out the front end before painting, but this rock deflector is really confusing me. I think I know where it bolts on, but I’m about an inch off when the center lines up with the center bracket. I’ll add some pics to make it clearer—maybe someone will notice something I missed.
What is that black thing shoving down into your driver side fender? Looks like weird AI generated imagery and makes no sense to me.
I vote magnetic flashlight.
As to your original question, did you change the center supports? If do be aware that the 70 ones are not the same as the ones for a 69.
Shadow looked like a dent to me. I need to up the magnification on my readers!
I still have my front end torn up from making space for the cherry picker and until I get all my new AC components working properly, so here’s some pictures that may help. The 4 vertical tabs bolt to the center support and the headlight buckets, and the two outer bolts also go through the lower valence panel, so you’ll want to leave those out or loose until you have the bumper on and can put on the lower.
I’m with you 100%: I was thinking that’s one heavy magnetic flashlight! I would have bet that was a dent!
