Here is a 1967 you don't see often

So how rare is a 4 speed 289 with a bench seat? Probably something I would have jumped on just because of the stick.

Bench seat, 4 speed, red? Pretty cool.

A lot of cool options on that car. I don’t think it’s worth $2800, but if it was close by I might have tried to buy it.

What??? Don’t tired old 6cyl Mustangs bring $3k these days? The tilt is potentially worth $1000 alone! Super rare car, never seen one like it. I would take it right now for $3000.

Tilt columns are available for a lot less than $1000. I’ve haven’t seen one bring over $600 on ebay in quite a while. Step up to the plate and offer him $3K. Maybe he’ll sell it to you.

I imagine that is why he said “potentially” worth $1000…but that’s just my read on his statement. Your results may vary.

Is that any car that has a bench seat so’s your honey can snuggle up next to you AND a 4 speed so’s you can bang gears has GOT to demand a PREMIUM!

I still remember changing out the buckets in my first car (A 1969 Toyota Corona, the '70 Cougar HT was my second) in favor of a bench seat for this very reason!

Yeah, I think 2800 is a fair price. If someone wanted an interesting or oddball but fun combination of options, without the FE tax, this would be a good one to get.

If you’ve never slid the shifter into fourth while a lady was straddling the shifter, seated on the bench seat beside you, you’ve missed at least one cool thing in life. :beerchug:

Now, I know there’s a joke in there somewhere…LMAO.

Being an Okie, I’ve had a couple bench seat, manual transmission trucks…favorite line for dates…“Wanna work my stick…shift?” You know, so they’d feel needed. :buck:

The subject car would be pretty cool, in my mind, anyway. Iffin I could get away with it…

Unfortunately it spent its first winter in NY so it needs a pair of floor pans, torque box and minor repairs where the aprons overlap the towers. I still think it is a good deal… Email me if you want the pics he sent me, I also have his contact info.

If my aunt had balls she could potentially be my uncle. :buck:

Well, that’s pretty light work for us ECI types. :dogpile:

Gotta agree. For the right buyer, it’s still a good deal. I gotta stop looking at this thing… :snooty:

After knowing you for a while, I wouldn’t be surprised if she IS your uncle…LMAO.

I kill me.

:poke:

Wow that’s almost the same as an expression I heard my dad use a bunch of times. If I were to say something hypothetical that’s possible but he doesn’t think likely, he would say “yeah, and if my Aunt Edna had balls she’d be my Uncle Ed”. Never heard anybody ever say anything close to it before you just did Al. Cheers!

Bob there are some good ones on that page. My mother once told my oldest brother “if you’re going to keep walking on thin ice you might as well dance”.

Actually if you knew her you’d realize that there’s no way anyone but a woman could be that big a psycho bitch. Now I’m going to stop hijacking this thread, I don’t want Art to yell at me. :silent:

Well this Cougar did not sell. I’m a little shocked that it didn’t even get one bid. I guess 2800 was to much for a starting bid.
