Finally got time to go out for a track day. The wife & I headed out on Saturday the 24th of Sept to join Colorado Exotic Car Assoc’s fall event.

Great! Wonderful to see and hear (I watched earlier videos) a vintage Cat take the track. Like the negative camber visible in the still shot of the Cougar -

Nice track day Bill! That track looks open and flat from the camera. I was at Grattan raceway Saturday, but had the red Cobalt SS instead of the Cougar. The track was cold and slippery in the morning as temps stayed in the mid 50’s. By noon the track and tires warmed up and had some good grip. I was running 1:35 laps times and with better tires that car could be around 1:32 at best. Unfortunately, my son was in charge of the go pro and was pushing the wrong button and took a couple still pictures instead of video. A Dodge Challenger I was running with has me in the beginning :30 sec of his video and you can see me in his mirror. He was running a little faster at 1:33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-R6GiOVqoE
Planning on taking the Cougar the Gingerman on Wednesday if the weather is good.

The fun part is when the start asking about the “car”. Mostly they can’ tbelieve how good it runs. Then they look closer & see mechanical fuel pump, manual steering, factory brakes (upgraded pads), and they walk away shaking their heads!! LOL!
