Hi, new to this group and quite pleased to see so much information shared here about classic Cougars! I’ve been playing with bigblock Mustangs and Cougars for many years and am quite familiar with GT390 and 428 CJ carbs but I’m restoring a 4088 now and can"t find any info on it, except what I’ve seen on this site so far. I’m trying to find out what the correct jet sizes, accelerator pump nozzle size, and power valve should be. It is a service replacement 964 date and it does have the correct metering blocks. Also has the idle mixture screws in the baseplate.Any help would be much appreciated.
The 1968 manual has all those specs.
The 4088 is specific to the 1968 Cougar 427-4V GT-
E with the C6 automatic transmission. Like Bill says the 1968 factory shop manual covers it in microscopic detail.
