7A2 is a known date code but I’m not sure what the 7LB is you’re referring to.
7LB would be the tag code, they decode different than the air horn stamps.
If you check the photos I posted the air horn is 781 but the tag is 7HB
7A2 and 7LB are both 2nd week of November 1967.
My GTE is a May build and has a 7A2-7LB carb on it. It is the original carb.

Didn’t realize that. I haven’t seen many original tags. Thanks for the explanation.
Yes it is the tag code. The reason I posted was so people could see the span between the carb dates and the car build date.
ok i got my 2 carbs out

Post some photos so we can see what condition and if all the parts are there.
The first one 7A2 is the most common production date.
The second one 962 is a 1969 replacement carburetor worth far less but still worth something.

Any feel for the value of the service replacement carb? I have one that is sitting…
I would like to enter the lottery or get my name in the drawing for a C8AF-9510-AD 4088. I just picked up a GTE “W code”, that has a 23B build date. The engine, trans and rear end are numbers matching. I am missing the correct radiator and shroud as well. Sounds like the correct 600 Holley is a bit of a unicorn hunt. Not sure how far down on the dance card I am but I would like to be considered if one comes up.
