Home made posters!

I just want to say that while the media tells me the economy os crap, one thing I have noticed is that the cost of developing regular pictures, is very reasonable today! I recently went back to the Shelby museum to get some better pictures of the Group II car they have currently. For what ever reason I guess I just didn’t push the button hard enough the last time I was there. So I stopped off at Wal Mart yesterday with the SID card from my camera. I selected 8 pictures from my last stop- I got 8X10’s of them. But, I saw that you can get an 18X24 for less than 20 bucks.

So I added one to my purchase. So on the one hand, I paid almost 40 dollars for a picture, but on the other hand, I have a beautiful picture framed for not quite 40 bucks, that I would not other wise ever have seen, let alone gotten a poster size copy of! An 8X10 is like 3 dollars. I guess it’s a combination of my age, the changing technology and modern equipment, but it sure seems like a good deal to me, for what you can get!

I didn’t see this was in maintenance, it should be in the garage, sorry-

I’ve tried to take really good pictures, maybe a dozen times. I’ve tried to take good pictures usually. This one just happened to be nearly perfect. And again, for the money, I’m super stoked about it. I had a ‘good’ camera, and some pieces also, but that was a long time ago. I don’t know what it would cost to do from a regular film negative, but for less than 20 bucks from the digital camera, I couldn’t be happier with the results. Now, if I knew how to remove the date stamp…..

Is this the Shelby Museum in Boulder?

I was there in fall and didn’t see the Cougar…I’ll have to go back. I see they’ve expanded to an adjacent building and have the GT40’s over there.

Looks like the BME Cougar that David Tom put together. I recreated the decals for him and I think I can even see our Delmarva Cougar Club decal in the quarter window.

A couple of short videos of when we babysat it for David, before he sold it to the Millers.

Yes it is in the new building. It was on the other side earlier this year, I don’t know when they moved it.

Nice video! They said they were going to let me know when they moved the Cougar from one building to the other, so I could hear it running and maybe make a video of it, but that stuff happens so spur of the moment- I’m very glad they have the car, I love being able to go see it.

I’m in the area, so it looks like I’ll need to visit again. I’m amazed at the quality / number of cars they have in the Shelby Museum.

Try thedarkroom.com sometime. I think they could eliminate that date and time stamp for you.

I will have to check it out, thanks!
