does anyone know where the hood pins go on the core support on a 69. I have heard several versions; supposed to be holes already there, but mine does not have them.

The info. that Don posted is for the location of the lanyards, the pin’s are located 7in. from the front fender mounting hole on both sides. If you have the rubber seal, the hardware goes under the rubber, everything attaches to the rad. support and the rubber seal (if car came with one) goes on over.
'70 radiator supports have the holes, '69’s do not.
Sorry to say the 69’s did get holes. Just not all of them. I have 6020 off the line, 351W has factory large hole & screw hole for cable on each side. This is not the only one I’ve seen this on. Maybe early convert’s?
Interesting coincidence… check out pic #5 in the post below. Looks like Ford hood pin installation instructions. I’ll ask John if I can get a complete picture or scan of the document to post for future reference.
Another interesting thing that I learned about hood pins recently… in '69 they were a Cougar option, but only for R-code cars!
