Hood Pin Plate Size - I think these are not correct

I stashed away these NOS Hood Pin Plates about 17 years ago to put on my G one day and though they look NOS with the green release paper on them, I am thinking that they are too large to actually go on a G as the blueprints show 2" diameter plates and these are 2-1/2". Thoughts?

I just measured the ones on my G and, assuming they are original (my G has had a repaint in the past), mine measure 2" across.

I have made many sets over the years. The originals are 2" diameter with self sticking tape on the underside. They are .035" polished stainless steel.

Thanks guys. Looks like I will be making my own as well.
I wonder what the 2-1/2" ones I have go to? I suppose they could be 1968 shelby hood pin plates…

I remember years ago John’s Cougars was selling what was, at the time, as close as you could get to a G hood-pin and lanyard set. It was sourced from different places like what was available from Mr. Gasket.

Could be from there?
