T2…shimmed the forward bolt on the higher side(in this case, it was the pax side), hood side of the hinge. The body side, the aft-most bolt is as high in the slot as it can be, and the two forwards are as low in the slot as they can be…basically, just rotating the hinge toward the cowl.

Gotcha. When I can muster some patience, I need to take another look at mine. I would have sworn an oath there were no shims when BIL and I pulled the hood, he said he wasnt so sure. Anyhoo, this is going back up the list. My hood looks like it was adjusted by “68asshat’ncat”. 
What? No good? Lemme see If I can borrow a Stillson wrench, I’ll give it another shot.

Give it a go, Two…mine had a shim originally, only during reassembly, I had it in the wrong spot…go figure.
