Hood to cowl gap space

I can’t seem to find this information on the the body panel gaps. How wide should the gap be between the hood and the cowl? 1/8"? I see some say as close as you can get it but what is normal. I think this gap must be set first before aligning the fenders to the hood.

So far the doors and and those gaps there are pretty good to the rear quarter and fender. The door to the rocker panel gap is the widest gap by far.

Thanks!

Steve

Its in the factory shop manual, body section. I used appropriate diameter drill bits to fit each panel. See here, scroll down:

Thanks Royce,

I may need the factory style shim in hood hinge to help line up the hood to the cowl. Nice to see that trick in the link. However I think my gaps on the fenders to cowl are too tight one one side so I can fix that first.
