Houston Area Cougar Club?

Hi
I’m looking for Houston area Cougar owners interested in forming an area Cougar club. The Lone Star Cougar Club in Dallas is an active group in that area but too far away. A couple of years ago a few of their members with participation from CCOA attempted to form a South Texas chapter of the Lone Star Cougar Club but it didn’t get enough traction. I’ve emailed those on some of that correspondence and am hoping for some interest there. My Cougar is road worth now unlike when the first attempt was made. Any interest?

I’m in Houston and would be interested.

What part of town are you in?

West Houston - Energy Corridor.

Hey Tom, you know I’m in.

I’m in Laredo,TX , but would be interested in participating as much as possible

I would be interested as well. I would be happy to meet up and contribute my time as I can.
I made a few calls back about 3 years ago, but did not get a lot of traction.
My email is timcarr@msn.com

Yeah Texas almost needs to have a chapter for each major city, I’m in San Antonio and attending the LSCC events in Dallas all the time would be exhausting traveling all the time. Then get all small regional clubs together for big car show events sponsored by LSCC.

We’ve gotten interest from most of the Houston area CCOA members and a number of people from a wider south Texas area. Currently working on setting up our first meeting. Anyone else that is interested please PM me.

Good job, Tom. Keep working on setting up that Houston Cougar Club. I created the High Desert Cougar Club of Oregon a little over a year ago and now have 41 members. I found a lot of people on Facebook and created a Facebook Group for the club. There are a lot of Cougar Facebook Groups out there where you can post and draw them to your group. Some of them will be in your area and will hopefully join your new club. Good luck with your endeavor. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me at highdesertcougarclub@gmail.com.

Thanks Conan,
We’ve got 16 Houston metro area people and several more in the wider south Texas area. I’m sure there are more out there and we’ll continue to look for them.
Right now the biggest issue is the weather for our first meeting. It’s too rainy for many of the well restored cars but several people are committed to coming without their Cougars. So I’ll be there and hopefully we will have a initial core group that can help with getting things going.
