Hello
I had to take the glass out on the drivers side door to change the guides ( anti rattle guides)
The shaft that they go up and down on, the bottom bolt actually broke the metal off that it was bolted to. I just added larger washers instead of welding it. Works great but. Now when I close the door with the window up. The glass is tested out at the top by 1/4” maybe a bit more. It’s not sealing tight against the 1/4 glass window in the back seat. I looked but can’t figure how to change the angle ( tilte the top of the window in)
The bracket at the bottom of the window guide shaft has a slot that allows you to adjust the bottom of the guide towards the inside or outside of door. This is the tumblehome adjustment that changes the inward and outward tilt of the window.
The bottom of that shaft just had a bolt. I seen no adjustment. I actually added a couple washers on the inside of the door thinking it would adjust the window in at the top but it did nothing
Is that for a 71-73 cougar?
Sorry, not familiar with 71-73. The shop manual will have instructions and diagrams for window adjustment. Tumblehome is what needs adjusted.
