In the end I don’t believe he was scammed but very kool car nonetheless.

That was an interesting watch. Not sure what the builder was thinking on all those vacuum pumps/hoses.

I’m not sure a re-bodied, non-numbers matching drive train car is worth that money regardless.

Seems like a typical poorly sorted out restomod to me. Probably should have represented better but not that bad compared to what I see cross the block at Barrett Jackson every year.

My comment was to dump the air pump and convert to electric headlights.

Air pumps, the Wizard found a second vacuum pump.

I watched the video. That thing probably has $130K in parts. I bet someone ponied up another $100K for labor despite the minor issues. Looked like a decent enough deal. Probably 25K for the paint job.

Yeah, lots of money in parts on that car. For that money, I’d sure rather have a big block 4 spd Cougar! I hope he fixes the windshield wiper motor/linkage. The wipers shouldn’t park that far up the windshield. Cougars often have that problem too.

I know the guy didn’t get the car he thought he was , but had the car been like he wanted, it would have been 100k higher than what he got it for.
It looks like he has a few cars in his garage so he’s not clueless.
